Stack on the jelly bracelets, strap on your Swatch watch, crimp your hair and get ready to party like it’s nineteen…eighty three? (If none of those strike a chord with you, ask your mother…she’ll know). Neon, an absolute fashion staple back in the early 80s, is making a comeback in fresh and exciting ways.
Vané Broussard of Brooklyn Bride recently styled a shoot for Design Sponge (photography by 1. art beauty life) that really brings neon into the 21st century. Artist’s tape is the big star in this transformation of a rather traditional setting. Neon dipped silverware? Rip stop fabric wrapped vases? Neon ombre napkins? Spray painted florals? Yes, please!! The result is punchy and sophisticated, as well as cleverly unique.
This is an idea whose time has come! Ok, technically, it’s come and gone and then come again, but we’re not hung up on technicalities. We all know that girls just want to have fun, so go big, go bold and pile on the neon for a totally rad wedding!
